Trend Forecast: Spring 2012 Trends, Plus Affordable Styles You Can Wear Now!

Spring 2012 brings with it a myriad of trends that celebrate feminine silhouettes and tropical hues. It might feel far away as temperatures continue to drop, but that doesn't mean you have to wait until next year to enjoy these fabulous trends! Extend the life of your wardrobe by incorporating these trends into your ensembles! You'll love wearing these styles now and later!

Rebecca Minkoff's collection displayed this fabulous ensemble, a simple crop top paired with trousers. You can get the look now by pairing your favorite crop top with a denim jacket and a pair of autumn colored jeans--like a rust or green hue.

Pastels may be remniscent of Easter eggs, but that doesn't mean you can't incorporate them into your fall wardrobe. Mix your favorite pastel pieces with autumn colored separates for this season. I would pair this blush top from Forever 21 with a pair of beige trousers.

The peplum silhouette is my absolute favorite trend! You just can't get any more girly with this burgandy and black peplum dress from Forever 21. We have this dress at the store I work in, and Oh-Em-Gee it is fabulous!

Sporty chic continues to dominate for the spring season. But leave boring sweats and a tee for the gym. If you want an edgy yet casual look opt for chic sportswear like this sequin hoodie from Forever 21. Pair with faux leather shorts for an ultimately chic ensemble.

Pre-Fall collections (previously reserved only for buyers and editors) are now gaining momentum among the masses.

Now is the perfect time to seize pre-fall merchandise. Summer styles are phasing out, but it's not yet cold enough for fall's heavy coats.

This week, I've featured one of the pre-fall styles seen on the runways: Graphic prints.

Graphic prints will be popular for the fall season. For now, look for lighter fabrics and colors in graphic prints, which is the main difference between pre-fall and fall collections.
