Selecting the right perfume can be as difficult as finding the perfect pair of jeans.

With so many fragrances to choose from, how do you know which one is for you?

Some ladies keep a variety of perfumes and choose the appropriate fragrance according to the occasion.

Other ladies (like me) tend to stick with one scent and may stay faithful spritzing with that particular scent until it is discontinued.

For me, I have had a love affair with Vera Wang's Princess, which is sweet and light, but this scent isn't right for every lady.

There are some basics to selecting the right perfume for your mood, your personality, or the special occasion.

Natural makeup was one of the numerous makeup trends touched upon in the fall 2009 winter 2010 fashion week.

This is one of my favorite makeup trends right now because it's applicable for everyone. If you're tired of the 80's inspired makeup or if you hardly wear makeup at all, this is an easy look to accomplish.

This makeup look was best done by Diane Kendal for MAC in Carolina Herrera's collection (right). The soft pink hues are used to highlight facial features such as lips, eyes, and cheek bones.

Gray is the color for fall--in everything from cardigans to makeup, this color has dominated.

Matthew Williamson followed suit in his fall 2009 collection by matching gray nail polish with the matte makeup color palette.

Backstage at the Matthew Williamson show, manicurist Amanda Fontanarrosa blended two shades of gray to achieve a shiny, steel color.

I suggest pairing matte gray polish with an ensemble that is either very colorful so that your nails will be more subdued.

If you opt for a shiny, silver gray color, it looks best paired with a predominantly black ensemble to make your nails stand out.
