WHERE TO SHOP

September Favorites under $50

For September, I'm feeling a cool neutral palette with strong pops of color and this month, it's all about stocking up on the essentials that will transition into winter, too.

Athough scarves have also become popular to wear during the summer, they fit in better with fall and winter months. This Mono Ivy Skull Scarf is kind of pricey for $36.00 at Topshop, but it's a nice statement piece. Another way to make a statement this month: your necklace! Statement necklaces are in, in, in, and I'm loving this Blu Bijoux Tribal Horn Necklace ($36.00 by Blu Bijoux at Max & Chloe). It comes in four different colors, but the orange is oh-so perfect for fall.

When it comes to a great fall lip color, now is the perfect time to start experimenting with darker shades. While you're searching for the perfect shade, be sure to try Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Fig ($7.49 by Revlon at drugstore.com). And for your nails, try a Beauty and the Budget favorite, this Essie Nail Polish Armed and Ready ($8.00 by Essie at Walgreens).

Cognac brown is my favorite neutral hue, and you can't go wrong with this carry-all bag, Fereira ($50.00 at Aldo). Of course, you'll need to start dabbling into the old coat closet again, but if you are looking for something new Forever 21 has a great selection of affordable lightweight trench coats. The pockets on this Forever 21 Belted Trench Coat ($32.80 at Forever 21) really make it stand out! And lastly, you should grab a great pair of bold boots--whether you are staying true to the bootie or opting for the new high boot. I prefer this Qupid Nesha-85 Bootie ($44.95 by Qupid at DSW) in red.
